Preparation is the KEY
Hello! I use quotes, sayings things from much more brilliant people than I could ever dream of being, as guides, as tools, as reminders, as teachers. And there's a really wonderful saying about preparation that "Luck favors the prepared man and woman." And so we are getting ready for Hurricane Ian. And while I've adjusted over the last several years of being more tolerant of it and not panicking quite as much as an upstate New Yorker might do, initially when you start hearing hurricane, I mean they have hurricane parties down here in Florida! So, I have two homes now that I have to prepare for. So preparation is key. So this is what we're going through right now. Everything's covered, everything's pulled out of the lanai or you'll see the ropes tied down. The fur babies are like, 'What's going on mama?' LOL. At the other house, I have a team up there and they're pulling the garden statues, potted plants, furniture, all that stuff up into the sheds. The point of all of this, and some of the responses have been "Oh, it won't be anything. It won't be anything." And it may well not be, but I certainly would prefer to be prepared, put the little extra work in, in advance. So that if luck does play a role, and I believe on some level it always does, it will favor me because I have met it where it needed me to meet it. And that is in good preparation. So, those lessons can be applied to your work, your business, certainly your home and your wallet... all of those things. So being prepared is key, because luck favors us when we are. Sending much luck and blessings your way today for wherever you live in the world, and wherever you're at on the journey for living well... today. All the Best! Angela https://www.AngelaMoonan.com

In the service of others and for your finest Self... look for and appreciate all that is AMAZING.
>> Feel it in your body - shift your life by shifting the words you're using to tell your story. Hello! Welcome to Living Well... Today. I'm Angela Moonan and I'm going to leave the comfort of my chair today that you're used to seeing me in for the Word of the Week, and I'm going to take you on a journey to demonstrate the word that I want to share with you today. So here we go.... This is my wonderful, backyard retreat. And this is where I go to reinvigorate. Actually the house is in the midst of getting painted this really beautiful cream right now. It's beautiful the way it is... the House of Bricks, you know, strength, I love it. But iterations, right? So the cream is an iteration and upgrade. My backyard captures the essence of the Word of the Week! See the bamboo? Which is of course for prosperity, it's just wonderful! The word of the week is AMAZING! So as I walk through my space and I reflect on the blessings in my life, as well as the work that's gone into creating this, I just say amazing. I say "Amazing God, amazing!" In Cooperation With Others Absolutely amazing. "Aren't I amazing what I'm capable of doing in cooperation with others?" You know, I have a team of people that help me keep this looking so amazing and help me do what I do every day and give and offer to the world what I can, in the ways that I do best. And we all have different gifts. Amazing, amazing. So when you say the word AMAZING, you cannot be grumpy! So the whole premise of this is shifting your life by shifting your mood, one amazing moment at a time. Nature Is The Antidote Nature is always, always, always the antidote. So... What in your life can you say, Wow, isn't that amazing? Can you walk through a small garden nearby your home, a park, a creek, somewhere beautiful, peaceful, quite... a local library that's got gorgeous architecture... AMAZING! And you say the word out loud so you can hear and feel it vibrate in your body. Find a little path. Find a path, find something in nature. If you have more than one dog, look at how your animals or your cats, your pets, your fur babies, watch how they interact with one another. How they lead their lives, how they carry themselves. We learn a lot from our animals, and not just our domesticated ones either. Amazing! That's our Word of the Week. And I want you to take stock of the things that you've created that others have helped you create the beauty that surrounds you for living well... today. And that's my promise. My hope for you is that through using these words, through using these quick insights, three, four minutes a week, that they can shift your day, shift your mood, and ultimately I'll add it UP! and shift your life. Wishing you all the best... Bye for now and Much Love, Angela AM WOW! Isn't that fascinating? It's word of the week time...
How well do you receive?
Whether it's a compliment, a gift, blessings, support... the ability to RECEIVE is vital to the flow of life, well-being, prosperity at work and at home. So I've talked about how I feel about the power of words, and the power that words have to transform. So here's a new word to consider. I've talked about this word actually before in other context, but a new word I'd like you to think about if you can, is the word RECEIVE. And this is particularly for women, but men I think have their challenges sometimes in this too. To RECEIVE. What does that word mean? What does it feel like? Receive is your willingness to accept, to be open to the gifts, to be gifted. And as women, we have been taught over the last, in my lifetime anyway, to support yourself. And yes, that is true. You want to be of your own power, your own support, your own best support. But there is also this beauty and balance in your willingness to receive. If we're always pushing away, ask yourself this. The next time someone says, "Oh, I can do that for you." Or they've presented you with a beautiful gift, and your response is, "Oh, no, no, no, no, that's okay." Or, "Oh, you didn't have to." Well, no, they didn't have to, but they wanted to. Allow them to experience, the beauty and the energy of exchange. As moms as well, we tend to give, give, give, give. And somewhere in that line, we are last. But you know, if you can consider yourself, half of the time anyway in your life, to be in a position of receivership, there's great beauty and great elegance and great ease waiting for you in that place. And it also gives others around you that care about you or maybe even strangers, the opportunity to give. And you know what it feels like when you give, It's a good feeling. You don't give necessarily to get something back. And that's not what I'm talking about. And I'm also not talking about taking, It's a very distinct difference between taking something and receiving something. And you can even feel that difference in your body. So as you go about your day, your weekend, your week, practice receivership, be open to the gifts, be open to support. You know, we are living in a world of cooperation. The new world requires it of us more than ever. Cooperation, connection, collaboration. And in order to be in that best place for that to unfold, you need to walk with your feet in giving and walk in that world of receiving. So practice receivership, receive the light, the love, the beauty, the ease, the joy, the gifts. And I'm wishing you all the best. I'm offering that to you. I'm sending you my love, my ease, my joy, and I hope that you're receiving it. So all the best. And here's to living well... today. |
